I've been worried that no one knows what's in the health care act.  Lots of yelling - little information.  At 1017 pages of administratese... well, I'm not going to read it.  Are you?  (You can get the PDF from the government printing office here)

So I powered up Copernic Summarizer, software that uses statistical analysis of the recurrence of phrases and words which then extracts the sentences that, according to its alorithms, are most in line with the major themes of the text.  Accurate? You decide. 

Anyhow, you can see the results here.  I found them interesting.  I did 100, 250, 1000 word and "5% of document" summaries.  

The 1000 word version did more to clarify some of the concrete policies proposed than all the positioning and spin I've been subjected to to date.
